Can these leggings reduce your cellulite?

It might seem crazy to drop $200 on a pair of leggings, but what if it could eliminate your cellulite?

According to ABC News, the British fitness-apparel company Proskins has designed leggings that have the Midas touch. Made with 24-karat gold, these anti-aging leggings promise to be a fashionable means of cellulite reduction. The gold nanoparticles are woven into the fabric, purportedly stimulating production of hyaluronic acid beneath the skin. As the amount of hyaluronic acid increases, the skin becomes more hydrated and elastic, thereby reducing the appearance of cellulite and wrinkles, the company website's states.

Treating cellulite while doing nothing but sporting a pair of leggings may sound too good to be true, but Proskins isn't the only clothing company working on making this cellulite-free dream come true. Last month, Brazilian fashion designer Alexandre Herchcovitch debuted a pair of anti-cellulite jeans at Fashion Rio. The Associated Press reported that the "beauty denim" traps body heat and turns it into infrared rays that increase blood circulation. While Herchcovitch told the news source that he designed the jeans based on five years of research, medical professionals stressed that the anti-cellulite aspect of the denim is still unfounded.

Although the jury is still out on whether rocking a pair of slimming pants will instantly eliminate dimpled skin, that's not stopping people from breaking out their credit cards - the Proskins gold leggings are already sold out.
